Well, that was a surprise.
In August 2026, Blackbird Spyplane linked to our shop in a mention of the Savont magnetic soap holder,and suddenly I had a lot of orders to pack.
If you’ve never heard of Blackbird Spyplane, you’re still very welcome to enjoy the floating soap.
A small solution to soggy soap
The Savont keeps your bar up out of the puddle so it can dry between uses. Here’s how it works:
- Attach the suction cup to a clean, smooth surface.
- Press the little metal plate into your soap or haircare bar.
- Bring the plate to the magnet, and let your bar hang between uses.
No drilling. No glue. When your bar is used up, move the plate to a fresh one and keep going.
A note on compatibility: Choose one of our traditional soaps or haircare bars. Our extra-hard salt and brine soaps aren’t suitable for this holder.

We don’t make the Savont—we just appreciate a clever invention. But we do make traditional soaps, solid shampoos, and shampoo & bodywash bars right here in the Finger Lakes.
To welcome the customers who found us through the mention, I tucked a travel-size shampoo & bodywash bar into each order as a little introduction to Avital’s. It’s been lovely welcoming so many new people to our small business.
